Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Alpha 2 Macroglobulin (A2M) are both biologic treatments used in regenerative medicine to promote healing and reduce inflammation. PRP is created by concentrating platelets from your own blood, which is then injected into injured tissues to stimulate natural healing processes by releasing growth factors that aid in tissue repair. A2M, on the other hand, is a plasma protein that inhibits proteases which break down cartilage and other tissues.
