Generalized Anxiety Disorder

Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) is characterized by persistent and excessive worry and distress, which intrude into daily activities. The normal fight/flight response of the autonomic nervous system is no longer controlled by normal methods and can be triggered with minimal or no discernible inciting factor. GAD can initiate physical symptoms in addition to feelings of worry and angst, such as chest pain, shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, and fainting. GAD can cause significant interference in your life.
