Conditions We Treat
Modern medicine has developed and progressed exponentially in recent years. Old paradigms are giving way to new ways of looking at disease and dysfunction and these new ways involve looking at the problem from a different perspective. The old paradigm tried to make all of your current symptoms fit into a single diagnosis, confined to a single organ system and then offer a specific treatment for that disease.
New paradigms in medicine look at symptoms and they tell us that there is some dysfunction in the body and it could involve interactions between multiple organ systems. For example: you may have a chronic injury to a joint that has not healed properly and you are no longer able to participate in activities you have enjoyed. This may lead to chronic inflammation, depression, sedentary lifestyle, poor nutrition, weight gain and hormone imbalance. Old paradigms would tell you to look at each of those conditions as a separate disease and treat them as such. We look at the whole system and work on restoring your body back to its pre-injury condition.
