Ketamine

Ketamine was approved by the FDA in 1970 as a medication to be used in operating rooms to sedate people while they underwent surgery. It is still used extensively as a sedation medication in hospitals, emergency departments and outpatient surgery and procedure centers. Ketamine has been studied for its additional benefits and has been found to help patients with many conditions such as: treatment resistant depression, generalized anxiety disorder, chronic pain syndromes, addictions, PTSD and some eating disorders.
